Planned Giving
If you are interested in playing a part in securing the future of the Sisters’ mission and ministry, a planned gift through one of the following options might serve your wishes.
Gifts through a Will
This is possibly the easiest and most common form of planned giving. A gift made through your will can be either a dollar amount or a percentage. It can also be unrestricted, allowing the Sisters to use your gift where most needed, or it can be restricted to a specific purpose. When naming the Sisters in your will, please use our legal name: The Congregation of the Third Order of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, Joliet, IL.
Gifts of Life Insurance
This is an option for donors holding life insurance policies no longer needed. You might consider donating the policy to the Sisters. Donors may also purchase a new insurance policy and give it to the Sisters. If making a gift of life insurance interests you, please consult with an insurance professional.
Gifts of Retirement Plans
The Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate can be made a beneficiary of your IRA. The gift to the Sisters will be free of probate. Please consult with your financial adviser.
Individuals who advise us that they intend to remember the Sisters with a planned gift automatically become members of The Canticle of the Future, our planned giving society. For more information, please contact the Mission Advancement office at 815-725-8735, x116.
Canticle of the Future – Planned Giving Society
In 2007 we introduced the Canticle of the Future, the planned giving society of the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate. The following have informed us of their intention to remember the Sisters in their estates. We are grateful to them for this generous commitment to the future of the Sisters. Should you wish to remember the Sisters in your estate planning and become a member of the Canticle of the Future Society, please contact Karen Garifo at: (815) 725-8735 x116. Thank you!
